From idea to presentation

Registration period
Registration is not a project stage. During this period, participants submit their project information, category, team members, and technical requirements.
Phase 1: Idea validation and definition
Mentors review registered ideas and provide feedback. This stage must be approved before stage 2 can begin.
Key tasks:
- Receive mentors' feedback
- Refine project concept based on feedback
- Checkpoint 1: Idea Validation (MUST PASS)
- Create project scope and objectives
- Plan development timeline
Phase 2: Development and prototype
This stage requires the idea to have been approved in stage 1. Teams develop and test their projects with mentor support and guidance.
Key tasks:
- Develop and build the project
- Checkpoint 2: Prototype Progress (MUST PASS)
- Create visual documentation
- Prepare technical demo
- Gather all required materials
Phase 3: Preparing the presentation and stand
Presentation preparation can run in parallel with stages 1 and 2 and remains available until 15 November. Stand configuration is defined from 15 to 26 November, although guidelines for possible configurations are provided from the first day of registration.
Key tasks:
- Prepare the project explanation and demonstration in parallel
- Checkpoint 3: Presentation Prepared (MUST PASS)
- Review possible configuration guidelines from registration onwards
- Define the final stand configuration between 15 and 26 November
- Prepare the poster, materials, and technical requirements
- Test the hardware, software, and demonstration
Phase 4: Presenting at the showcase
The in-person project demonstration and evaluation day at Coolest Projects Argentina 2026.
Key tasks:
- Arrive at 08:30 for check-in and stand setup
- Checkpoint 4: Final Validation and Presentation
- Present the project from 09:00 to 17:00
- Talk with visitors and explain ideas
- Participate in community closing session
- Celebrate achievements
Phase 5: Publishing projects and favourites
Participating projects and each category's favourites are published. At the start of the new year, every project moves into the reference project catalogue.
Key tasks:
- Publish the participating projects
- Announce each category's favourites
- Keep the results available until the end of the year
- Add every project to the reference catalogue when the year changes
Checkpoints for presenting your project
All four checkpoints must be completed and approved:
Checkpoint 1: Validated Idea - Project concept is clear, feasible, and addresses a real need or interest
Checkpoint 2: Prototype Progress - Significant development has been made; the project is functional or nearly functional
Checkpoint 3: Presentation Prepared - The demonstration is ready; the explanation is clear and engaging
Checkpoint 4: Final Validation - Project meets all technical and presentation requirements
